We are inviting Howard alumni and supporters to join HAU during this important inaugural membership period at no cost through December 31, 2026. This is an opportunity to become a meaningful part of HAU’s growing community, help shape its direction, and extend the value of an independent alumni organization firsthand.
Choose the Membership That’s Right for You
General Membership
Open to former students who completed at least two semesters and graduates of Howard University. General members have a voice in HAU’s future and help shape the organization’s future through voting rights, participation, leadership, service, and engagement.
Associate Membership
Associate membership is designed for individuals (students, family, friends, community members, etc.) who support HAU but do not qualify for general membership. Associate members are valued members of the greater Howard University community and can participate in opportunities to connect, serve, and support the organization’s work.
Why Are Membership Dues Necessary?
Beginning January 1, 2027, annual membership dues will help HAU build and sustain the infrastructure needed to serve its members and advance its mission.
Membership dues will support essential organizational operations, programs, alumni engagement, communications, technology, and initiatives that create meaningful opportunities for our members, students, faculty, and the broader Howard University community.
